How to Rig Inflatable Decor for Large Scale Outdoor Festivals: The Stress-Free Guide

The Stress-Free Guide to Rigging Giant Inflatable Decor for Large-Scale Festivals
If you’ve ever been part of an event build-out, you know the vibe. It’s 7:00 AM, the coffee hasn't kicked in yet, and you’re looking at a mountain of crates, tangled cables, and a rigging plan that looks like a NASA blueprint. Usually, "high-impact" decor means "high-stress" installation.
But here’s a secret from someone who lives and breathes event production: It doesn’t have to be that way.
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear from event organizers and festival promoters is that giant, 6-meter LED inflatables must be a nightmare to set up. People envision teams of technicians, heavy machinery, and hours of prep work.
I’m here to tell you that we’ve effectively "hacked" the logistics. If you can plug in a toaster and zip up a jacket, you can install our entire inflatable collection.
We Did the Hard Work So You Don’t Have To
When I started to help design these props, my goal was to make them as "plug-and-play" as possible. I’ve been on those festival sites where time is money and labor is short. That’s why, when your order arrives, the "technical" stuff is already handled.
We have already pre-installed the electric fan blowers and the RGB lighting systems directly inside the props. You won’t be fumbling with external pumps or trying to figure out how to snake LED strips through a giant inflatable heart. It’s all self-contained.
The "Rigging" Process (If you can even call it that):
-
Position: Find your perfect spot.
-
Plug In: Run an extension lead to the internal blower.
-
Zip Up: Ensure the air-containment zip is closed tight.
-
Watch the Magic: Stand back for 60 seconds while your inflatable props literally grows before your eyes.

Floor Installation: Anchoring Against the Elements
Outdoor festivals are beautiful until the wind picks up. Whether you’re setting up on a grassy field or a concrete precinct, the last thing you want is your 2-meter rainbow taking an unscheduled flight across the VIP section.
For floor-based setups, we’ve made stability simple. Every prop comes equipped with heavy-duty D-rings sewn into the base. To keep things grounded, we supply:
-
Heavy-duty pegs for soft ground and turf.
-
Industrial sandbags for hard standing or concrete ( supplied empty during shipment)
-
Pre-cut rope to tension the prop perfectly.
It’s a quick, manual process that takes minutes, but it gives you the peace of mind that your decor stays exactly where you put it, no matter the weather.
Are you wondering where the blowers are installed in something of this design and size? Well...
It's all neatly tucked away. Stress free and no faff
It really is as easy as that...
Taking it Higher: Hanging Your Decor
If you’re looking to create that immersive, "ceiling of love" feel, our inflatable hearts and rainbows are designed to be suspended. This is where those ceiling-dangling love hearts really shine.
Again, there’s no need for complex truss-math here. Use the supplied rope to thread through the D-rings at the top of the prop, and hoist them into position. Because they are air-filled, they are remarkably lightweight compared to traditional hard-set props, making them much safer and easier for your rigging team to manage.
The Ultimate Immersive Party Hack
In the industry, we call this a "high-reward, low-effort" installation. Within ten minutes of arriving at your site, you can have a glowing, neon, massive installation that defines the entire atmosphere of the party.
It’s an immersive hack that allows you to focus your energy (and your staff) on the more complex parts of the event—like the talent, the bar, and the guests—rather than wrestling with decor.

A Note on the "Hand-Made" Factor
Because we want your event to look professional and unique, we don't do "mass-produced" off the shelf. Every single one of our inflatable props and our UV webs are hand-made and made to order.
While the installation is lightning-fast, the creation process takes time. Our production queue fills up fast as we head into the summer months, and production always begins before shipment.
If you’re planning for a June or July event, don't wait for the last-minute rush. Reach out now, get your order into our production cycle, and rest easy knowing that when event day comes, your decor will be the easiest part of your "To-Do" list.
